What parents are saying...

Danyse tested my daugter, Annie, halfway through her 2nd grade year. We have always homeschooled and teaching Annie to read was just different than teaching my other three. I was told, "she would get it when she is ready," "one day it will just click," "she's just not ready yet." Over and over again people encouraged me that it wasnt a big deal, but to me it was, and it was to Annie. Danyse recommended just testing her to see where her gaps were at. She tested at a low kindergarten range (mid-way through 2nd grade). We started her out on two 30 minute sissions a week of tutoring with Danyse. Annie and Danyse just clicked. Danyse could explain the english language to Annie like I could not. Annie is very literal and wants detailed explanations on why things sound a certain way or say a specific sound. We are now up to two 1 hour sessions each week and the impreovements Annie has made are phenomenal. She reads everywhere we go. She still struggles to be on grade level, but she is confident because Danyse has been able to pinpoint the areas she struggles in and help us find curriculums that target her specific needs. Not only has Danyse helped Annie, but she has been a huge source of encouragement to me. Mom guilt is a real thing and when you have a kid that struggles you think you are doing everything wrong. Danyse was able to help me see why Annie struggles and teach me how to better teach her. She also was able to provide information about outside help we could receive due to the fact that Annie has a reading disability. Annie now teaches us about the english language on a daily basis, and is proud to tell everyone that she is the only one in the house that can read "the right way." 😂 Thank you, Danyse!

Danyse has been an absolute Godsend in advocating us in the process of getting an IEP for my son. She not only has advocated for us, but she has helped my son's reading and writing greatly. I would recommend her ANYTIME!

Danyse started working with my daughter towards the end of her first grade year. She barely knew any sight words and was still struggling with some letters and sounds. Danyse worked fast to identify the problems she was having and began working with her. She also worked with me getting my daughter tested and her IEP in place. It’s been a long road and it was nice to have someone in my corner. I’m happy to report now at the end of her second grade year she is testing at a third grade level.

Our children need our voice! But, sometimes our voices need an advocate. I will die for my children. I will move mountains. I will not settle for nothing but the best! When you hear the word “No” for so long, or “there is improvement/growth” you start 2nd guessing your abilities, strengths, and thoughts. Noone wants to hear or know something is different with their child. Danyse has brought forth the light! She has made principals, teachers, ESE supervisors, county officials, and state regulations squirm in their seats knowing they have been called out on their wrong doings when it comes to our children! If you haven’t hired an advocate you are fighting a battle you are NOT GOING TO WIN! Danyse loves, fights, gives all her heart and soul to the families and children she advocates for. We have become extended family. She loves my child as much as I do. Danyse is not just an advocate. She becomes “Mom’s armor, sword, fire, and crown”. She listens. She understands. She cries for you and with you. She becomes your closest friend/sister.

I have to say, I did not think or believe that an Advocate could assist much before now. I am very happy to say how very wrong I was. When you have the right Advocate it is such a blessing. You are no longer in it alone, trying to get the help your child needs. You will have a person who speaks the school's language. This is so important because you know what your child is having problems with, but they know how to ask for what your child needs in the school's language - from additional testing to getting more assistance for your child. Yes, you have to pay for an advocate ,but I believe it is so worth every penny when it comes to helping my grandson. Danyse is such a blessing to have on your side helping to get all of the assistance for your child. I can not say enough wounderful things about Danyse and her knowledge. I am so relieved to know she is going to continue helping us.

Before working with Danyse, I sat through several meetings with the school with no progress towards getting my daughter the accommodations she very much needs. Danyse was able to help me understand how the process works, the schools language, what questions to ask and assessments to request. Now we are well on our way to having a plan in place before the end of this school year. I am very grateful for Danyse’s support and would recommend her a hundred times over.
